Secondly, this was a great read. Like I was very entertained, touched, and had a great time with this little charming book.
This is a funny and warm story about a London char (housekeeper/cleaner) who desires a Dior dress for herself, and it’s all about her journey towards that goal.
Twists, incredible coincidences, unlikely friendships, Paris by night, cliches, it’s all here. It’s very sincere, but not saccharine. The unusual main character brings something unexpected to the story.
Our heroine’s natural wit, her determination, and her ability to be herself really charm people during her journey. She’s a hard worker and her relationship with her friend is full of comic warmth.
