Heady, panicky, dripping with the unseemly trappings of wealth and privilege, this book follows Alex as she tries to infiltrate a rich community over the course of a few sultry summer days.
I found some of the characters incredibly compelling, and the writing is punchy and visceral.
Great exploration of modern wealth and the ways in which some people have to trade with their wits.
Didn’t expect to like it this book much as I did! An enthralling read. Well-paced.
